The Nature of Biblical Peace (Shalom)

Biblical peace (shalom) is not mere comfort or emotional ease—it includes:

  • Wholeness

  • Justice

  • Prosperity

  • Security

  • Health

  • Right relationship with God and others

Because of this, Scripture warns against false peace (Jer. 6:14), where sin is ignored and righteousness is absent.

Ultimate Fulfillment of Peace

Peace is grounded in Christ’s reconciling work and will be complete when he returns (Isa. 52:7; Rev. 21:3–5). His kingdom brings true, lasting peace rooted in righteousness, never superficial harmony.
